I peruse galleries on line every day. I like to see if, and how products are being used. they don't always have to be my products, it could be anyones's. I am a firm beliver that my job is *not* to promote my own brand ...my job is to promote creativity, and an industry I love. If we nurture this industry great things will happen. If we promote creativity....well only good can come from that. Creativity is what saves my sanity evey single day....I have a saying I use a lot. *Art is my drug of choice* Art and creativity healed a troubled childhood. It is what saved me from doing drugs as a teeneager and young adult. In fact I have never done a recreational drug in my life. I can thank art for that...it heals my anger...it heals my current frustrations. It is my therapy. It always has been. So when i saw this layout on Two Peas by AllisonS, my jaw dropped, and i was in tears. I connected to it in a couple ways, one it is obvious creativity is theraputic for Allison, and this is a subject my family has dealt with since i was a child. We have watched in pain as some one we love fought and still fights an inner battle, a battle we will never fully understand. This layout is such a clear example of that constant inner struggle.
We all have a life story that isn't always perfect. But that unperfect life is what makes us who we are. Remeber that saying that people would use everytime that something goes wrong " at least it gives you character" Ha! I have enough character for a few people, and i am sure most of you reading this feel the same way. The ability to share that part of our lives with others through paper arts, journaling, and scrapbooks is so powerful. thank you Allison S for allowing me to share a part of your life, you are quite an ispiration. You are proof that it is so important to nurture your creative spirit.
